Osijek is located 282 km east from Zagreb. <\/strong><\/p>\n

BY AIR<\/strong><\/p>\n

Travelling by plane is a convenient and comfortable way to visit Osijek. Many European companies have regular flights to Zagreb. The Croatian national carrier, Croatia Airlines, provides regular flights from Zagreb to Osijek.<\/p>\n

Osijek Airport is situated along the regional road Osijek – Vukovar, 20 km away from the city of Osijek.<\/p>\n

Arrival from the airport to the city:<\/p>\n

Passenger transport by bus from the airport to the city center is organized some 15 to 20 minutes after the exit of passengers from the airplane. The fare is about 8 EUR per person (the price includes luggage transport as well). This transport must be booked 24 hours in advance. The railway network connects all major Croatian cities. If you plan to travel by train, the best would be to arrive to Zagreb and take a bus from there to Osijek. There are direct trains to Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and other countries. <\/strong>Indirect connections also exist, connecting Croatia to almost every other European country.<\/p>\n

BY BUS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bus service offers a cheaper alternative for travelling around Croatia and to Osijek. Throughout Osijek region, even the smallest villages have some sort of bus connection. There are express buses which cover longer distances and are very comfortable. In almost every larger town, there is a bus station (Autobusna stanica or Autobusni kolodvor) where tickets are sold and timetables are clearly displayed.<\/p>\n
